Different Modes of Air India Check in

Air India is India’s leading airlines and holds the first place in the ranking both in terms of its fleet as well as the service quality. For the passengers who choose to fly with Air India’s domestic and international flights, it offers four modes of comfortable Air India check in services, which we will discuss further.

Counter Check-In at Airports: This conventional check-in option is best suited to the passengers who are traveling with infants or children in their group, carrying excess luggage, or traveling with pets.

Web Check-in: This is the best check-in option in terms of cutting down the unwanted waiting time and queues at the airport. The web check-in is available through Air India website from 48 hours or 24 hours in case of some flights to 2 hours before departure. After online check-in, you can simply take a print out of your boarding pass and drop off your checked luggage at the drop-in counter before heading for the security check.

Mobile Check-in: This is a special feature available in the domestic flights of Air India, which is open from 24 hours to 2 hours prior to departure of the flights.

Advance City Check-in: This facility is offered for flights from Mumbai to UK, US, and Europe, departing on the same day or before 8 p.m. next day. The passengers can get to the Air India’s Mumbai city office or the airport between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. with their tickets, passport, and the luggage to be dropped off. Also in Delhi, the travelers can make use of advanced Air India check in at the Safdarjung Airport office from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
